Rita and Shaky tucking into their lunch!
After much time and effort by all who were involved, the launch of the new Luncheon Club became a reality on Wednesday 21st January, 2009.
The club has been the brainchild of Pastor Willins, who along with the hard work of a number of dedicated church members, turned this dream into a reality, for the glory of Jesus.
There have been a number of people of influence outside the church who have also shown their support for the project, including former mayor of Southampton, Councillor John Slade, and Auran Sood who works for Southampton Voluntary Services. New Testament Church of God, Southampton, recognise the support they have shown, and would like to publicly express their gratitude. Also thanks is given to Help the Aged for their financial

A special thanks is due to the members of the congregation, who were prepared to share in this vision by supporting it with their own time and effort, and without whom, the project would not be possible. The committe are as follows:
- Chair – Zelly Adams
- Assistant Chair – Lyra Edwards

- Treasurer – Lorraine Gray
- Asst. Secretary – Merle Willins
- Fund Raiser – Jenny Ferdinand

- Gen. Support – Joseph Newton

There were others too who helped with various things including cooking, cleaning, greeting people etc., and generally making the whole event both special and highly enjoyable for everyone involved. For future information please note that Cynthia Musson has begun printing a monthly newsletter called the “Priory Voice”, which outlines everything that’s been happening at the club.
We would like to ask for your prayerful support of this ministry, as we strive to display the love of Jesus Christ to those within the community that surrounds us. Also why not drop in yourself if you’re free? You would be hard pushed to find better value for money, or more enjoyable company elsewhere!
Finally, if you have the time available and would like to help out in a practical way, please contact the church using the contact details to the right. Your offer of help would be most appreciated.
